"Loved it! I loved the ambiance after a long day. It was so soothing and relaxing. I ordered the six ounce filet medium well. It was seasoned and cooked to perfection. One of the best steaks I have had in Nashville (And yes I have been to Flemmings). The local musicians added the perfect touch to a great night. "Dear Judy, Yesterday, Feb. 2nd was our 22nd wedding anniversary. Yes, Ground Hogs day. Always been a the joke in the family but that's OK. Anyway, Chris took care of us and I wanted to give a huge praise to everyone. I am recovering from a rare tongue cancer. I lost 65% of my tongue and it has been the fight of my life. Last year we celebrated our anniversary at the chemo lab at Vanderbilt so last night was pretty special to us. Food is a huge issue for me. My tongue is still very tender and extremely sensitive. It may take years for recovery. I explained to Chris that could not have any spice of any kind on the Mahi Mahi. I just needed the fish lightly sautéed in butter or garlic was fine but nothing else. For the last year of my life I have mostly only been able to have liquids so this was a huge treat. Chris was so compassionate and the Chef really took care of me. The Mahi Mahi was perfect and melted in my mouth so I didn't have to struggle to eat. When we left the restaurant I just cried tears of joy. You don't realize how important something as simple as a meal out can be until you are no longer able to do it. God's grace, I am cancer free and fighting to come back to find a new normal. I have a speech impediment but Chris was just as kind as he could be in understanding my needs. I just wanted to thank you for having such wonderful staff and a chef who didn't mind modifying his menu for this survivor. May God bless you all and we hope to see you soon.
