Nashville has many excellent restaurants, but not many genuine neighborhood spots where you always feel welcome, where you’re treated like family.

During the 1960s & 70s, Green Hills’ favorite neighborhood bar and grill was the legendary Nero’s Cactus Canyon, run by my dad, Nelson “Nero” Griswold.

When I was growing up, Nero’s Cactus Canyon was the place to go. Folks visited Nero’s because they were treated like family. I hear story after story of the fun times and great memories people had at the old Nero’s…

Now, 30 years after my dad sold the original Nero’s, my wife and I created Nero’s Grill as a revival of that historic neighborhood hangout, right on the same piece of land in Green Hills.
